Announcements for May 26, 2024

The May Service Activity is Hope Shores Alliance.  Items needed: Paper products, trash bags (large 13 gallon, leaf and lawn and contractor bags), laundry detergent, art and crafts sets for children, school supplies, gift cards, Forever stamps.  Please see our app or website for a complete list and leave your items on the altar.  Thank you.

Reminder:  Next Sunday is Popcorn/Movie Day for Children’s Church! Adults can sneak some too.

Fellowship is in need of cookies used before the Saturday service and between the 9:00 and 10:30 services on Sunday.  If you’re willing to donate cookies, drop them off during the church office hours.  Also, if you are interested in hosting, please call Joanne Huggler or Janice Boboltz.  

We are looking for a leader and team members for the July 4th Parade float. Call the church office to volunteer.

The "Little's Worship Center," (nursery) is being cleaned and we are searching for servant leaders who love babies.   If you would like to help our families with babies at the 10:30 worship service, speak with Pam Laity, 586-634-9841.  

Pastor John and Miss Nena have planned Summer Educational Opportunities that will run June 5th – 26th.  Pastor John’s classes will meet on Wednesdays at 1:00 PM and 5:30 p.m. and Miss Nena’s class will meet on Wednesdays at 5:30 PM. Pastor John is holding a Bible Study on “The Lost Gospels of Jesus” and Miss Nena will lead a Book Study on “Lessons I Learned in the Dark” by Jennifer Rothschild. Please join us.

We will celebrate T-Shirt Weekend on June 1st and 2nd.  Please don your favorite St. Paul Ev. Lutheran T-Shirt and wear it proudly in worship.

The Church Rummage Sale dates are set for June 13-15!  Start thinking about what items you would like to donate.  We will again be accepting clean used clothing and shoes for our sale.  Questions?  Call Andrea at 989-354-3651.

The Forget-Me-Nots will gather at the church picnic grounds at noon on Tuesday, June 4.  Please bring your lunch and a beverage.  We hope to see you there!

The Scholarship Committee is grateful to those that have brought in their bottle returns, we ask that you keep them coming! The bottle returns can be placed in the janitorial closet next to the elevator on the Mirre Street side, there is a sign on the door to prevent confusion.

The Soul Sisters are kayaking at the every Thursday, except the first of the month, through September, weather permitting, at 5:30 p.m. Come join us.  Please contact Sue (989-354-8673) if you have any questions.

If you would like to make further donations to the Cancer Center, for patients undergoing treatment we are needing packaged nuts, crackers with peanut butter or cheese, rice crispy treats, candy bars, Jolly Rancher hard candies, oatmeal packets, pudding snacks. Please drop them off at Miss Nena’s office.
